This is only one family's experience with unemployment and poverty. Think of the hundreds...thousands of families that fall victim to these circumstances, especially during this recession.

Heartbreaking indeed Melissa. This story reminds me how expensive it is to be poor. Living in poverty can cost you everything, including your dignity.
Scary as it is to say, none of us are safe from situations like this one, which is why we should never take for granted the positive things in our lives. For me, this story is a reminder of those positives, which I'll treasure more than before.
