RSVP volunteer honored for service
This article isn't from South Dakota, but from my home state of Delaware. An award was given to an RSVP volunteer who has spent 12,000 hours over 34 years taking phone calls for a crisis hot line. Amazing!
VISTA stands for Volunteers in Service to America. The program has been fighting poverty since its inception in 1965. Instead of performing services directly, our goal is to increase the capacity of our sponsoring organizations.
